 Fall in love with this tropical paradise as you explore more of Bali’s beautifully quiet north east region, while still having plenty of “me time” to relax by the pool, surf or indulge in a massage or two (or more!)

Bali Yoga Retreat - Class Meditating

Held at the Pondok Shanti Agung Retreat Centre, just 20 metres from the unique black sand Jasri beach, this peaceful location will allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, cultivating a sense of calmness and tranquility.

From the moment you arrive at Shanti Agung you will be welcomed like family.

You will fall in love with this traditional area of Bali and the Balinese culture as we visit nearby natural springs, Lempuyang temple and the exquisite water gardens of Tirta Ganga water palace.

Your body will be nourished with wholesome food and rejuvenating and restorative yoga practices. Your mind will be guided to blissful stillness.

Set amongst a coconut forest, your day will start with a yoga asana practice and meditation accompanied by the sounds of the surf rolling in and the gentle tinkling of cow bells.

The view from the yoga deck is serenity in itself, looking out across the ocean as the sun rises in the distance.

After breakfast we will either visit nearby cultural attractions or dive deeper into yoga theory in a workshop session, learning tips and techniques to improve your yoga on the mat and in every day life.

Enjoy a delicious lunch freshly prepared each day from local ingredients and then spend the afternoon at leisure.

You have plenty of options available to pamper and relax: treat yourself with a relaxing Balinese massage, manicure or pedicure, cool off in the pool, chill out poolside chatting and sipping a young coconut, spend some quiet time in the hammock with a book or hit the uncrowded surf break.

Or if shopping is your thing, visit the nearby boutique Chocolate factories, Sensatia coconut soap and skincare factory or take a trip into Candi Dasa to stock up on souvenirs.

Your afternoon will be rounded off with a relaxing yoga session as the sun sets before being treated to another delicious meal for dinner.

Lisa Johnson

I am delighted to have Lisa Johnson as co-facilitator on retreat this year. Lisa is a psychologist, experienced health professional and well-being practitioner with over 25 years experience.

Dedicated to holistic practices and ongoing learning, Lisa combines a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Masters of Organisational Psychology with counselling and complementary medicine experience; offering an eclectic, integrative approach that supports your complete well-being.

Lisa began her career with an award-winning natural therapies practice (teacher of yoga, remedial massage, counselling and kinesiology) and has worked both locally and internationally. She is a regular psychology presenter for ABC Radio Brisbane and has been in private practice since 1999.

On retreat Lisa will guide you though self care techniques and tools to assist you in enhancing social connections and relationship skills, exploration into your values and strengths and gaining insight into your past experience and how that influences your current behaviours, beliefs and choices. The session will be tailored to the participants.

Lisa will also offer private sessions if you are wanting to delve into any of these topics further.

Accommodation is twin share with shared bathroom facilities.  There are two accommodation options available:

  • Pantai (beachside) at the Shanti Agung shala or
  • Coconut forest, an easy 7 minute walk through the coconut trees to Shanti Agung

All meals and activies are at Pantai (beachside) Shanti Agung, but if you are after a more economical way to attend then Coconut forest is the perfect option.


Pantai (beachside): $1897 (8 places available)

Coconut forest: $1297 (6 places available)

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your space.

Full payment due by 30th March 2023.

Retreat price includes:

  • accommodation in twin share rooms
  • 3 delicious Balinese meals per day at Shanti Agung
  • twice daily intellingent & informed yoga sessions
  • yoga workshops to deepen your practice
  • ½ day trip to Lumpuyang and Tirta Ganga
  • guided walk through rice paddies to the local natural springs

Not included are: flights, travel insurance (mandatory), transfers (these can be arranged), optional sightseeing trips & activities.

The retreat will start Sunday morning, allowing you time to fly in on Saturday and settle in at Shanti Agung Saturday night.  Or if you prefer, you can arrive on the Friday night and settle in at an additional cost of $80 per person for accommodation and meals.

The retreat will conclude after lunch on Friday 16th June, allowing you plenty of time to either catch a Friday evening flight home, or explore more of the beautiful island of Bali.

Cancellation policy: If you can find someone to take your place a full refund (less $100 deposit) will be given. I will assist you in finding a replacement by maintaining a waiting list. If no replacement attendee can be found a refund of 80% of the full cost will be given prior to 11th May 2023, or 50% refund from the 11th May if no replacement attendee is found. Cancellation may be covered by your travel insurance.
